Make Extra Money With Affiliate Marketing

Updated on October 11, 2011

Make Money With The Internet

When we talk about making money online we are talking about what is generally known as internet marketing.

What we know about internet marketing is there are no limits in an opportunity such as this. In the world of internet marketing millions and millions of dollars are made around the world each and every day.

There are so many positives when it comes to internet marketing because it can be done full or part time and can be done from home and you dont have to ever stock any inventory.

When you think about a traditional brick and mortar business you are limited to what you can afford and to the small amount of people who will walk into your store. There are billions of people on the internet on a daily basis and that means there are a potential of a billion customers a day.

Of course I dont think anyone is gullible enough to believe they could have a billion customers but I think for the most part you know where Im coming from.

Leading To Affiliate Marketing

When it comes to internet marketing you will quickly find there are different routes you can take. They are all forms of internet marketing that you can make a lot of money at.

Very many people have made an awful lot of money selling software that is useful to other people. The other thing is people selling services that others need. In each case you need to understand that while you can make a lot of money you need money and time to get things set up and ready to sell. While they may require some time and money to set up you can make a great deal of money if marketed properly.

The go to style of marketing especially for newbies is affiliate marketing. You can even win in affiliate marketing with out a website. A website doesnt hurt but you can get started without one.

Why Is Affiliate Marketing So Easy?

Well, lets be honest there is no such thing as earning money online being easy. I am sorry to burst your bubble but affiliate marketing is no different. However before we get too serious we should do a bit to understand what affiliate marketing is.

There are many people out there who put together a product or service but dont have a way to get it to the people of the world. Oh sure if they had nothing but money they would find it easier but most people dont have that kind of money.

So what an affiliate program does is allows people to sign up for free to earn commissions from sales brought on by their efforts. This works out great for all parties involved.

When you agree to sell a product for someone else you usually enter an agreement with the merchant. This agreement just ensures affiliates act properly and dont do anything to sour the name of the merchant.

How Much Commission

So lets talk a little about commissions when it comes to affiliate marketing. Some of the lower end commissions usually start around 3% for physical products. In some cases you will even get a company paying 100%

The way and reason they can sell something small for 100% commissions is because they get information like an email address. It also allows them to offer other products and up sells at future dates.

If you get into affiliate marketing you will be very quickly introduced to Clickbank which offers 1000s of products and services for commissions between 30 and 75%

Can You Really Make Money With Affiliate Marketing?

The answer to that question is an absolute yes. I know earlier I said it wasnt easy. Well lets face facts if it really was that easy then everyone would be rich.

The problem when it comes to affiliate marketing is people are very lazy. So if you are willing to put in the effort you will be ahead of many people out there.

The thing when it comes to affiliate marketing is being able to put in the time and effort and to learn from a service you can trust. I know I make money through affiliate marketing and I know you can to.
